Capacity and layout
Don't just check the venue's stated capacity — visit the space and mentally map your setup. A venue that fits 200 for a cocktail party might only seat 120 for a dinner with a stage and dance floor. Supplier access
Some venues have exclusive supplier lists (in-house catering, designated AV companies). Others are fully open and let you bring whoever you want. For maximum flexibility, look for venues with an open-supplier policy.
Power and infrastructure
